Food for Thought ...

"I dress for the image. Not for myself, not for the public, not for fashion, not for men." - Marlene Dietrich (German-born American actress and singer; b. December 27, 1901 - May 6, 1992)

So, how do you like Take Me Out to the Runway's new layout?! Me personally? I adore it! It shows a little more of my own style than the last one. However, I am slightly disappointed about one thing: when I changed the color of my "Who's Online Now?" counter, it deleted the entire map of who has visited me and where they are from! It always made me happy to see that people were enjoying my blog all over the world ... oh well. Hopefully they'll come back, and I can build up my stats again!

Anyways, I have a few things to tell you about. First off, when visiting one of my favorite blogs (Style Bubble), I saw one of the author's posts about Chichi's Color Zone. All I have to say is ... Oh. My. God. These items are pure art. I had to share them with you, even though a lot of you probably already know about the new line. Here are some of my favorite pieces from Chichi:

The Sky is a Piece of Paper

Cinderella's Party

Nothing Everything

Golden Summer Series Shorts

Golden Summer Series Skirt NO. 1

The Blue Rose Printed Chiffon Loose Pants

Aren't they gorgeous? And they're extremely reasonably priced. It's like a dream come true! If you want part of this collection for your own, visit http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=7294381. Let me know if you buy anything!

The second thing I would like to inform you all of is http://www.flickrista.com/. Now, I'm not sure if any of you have heard of it yet; I actually stumbled upon it quite by accident yesterday. The entire site is dedicated to posting photography from different photoshoots. There's a ton of fashion photography (my favorite) and it is, in one word, inspiring. Here are some of my favorites:

Ferrari by Laerel

Moda - Catálogo Utp by Renata Salles

Peacock Blue by Helen Tran Photography

Sport Glam Prima Parte by Colorsandia

Sweet As - Sarahlouisephotography.com

Tim Walker, "Magic World", Vogue Italia, January 2008

Untitled by Half Pinay - Laretta Houston

Vanidades Fashion Shoot - Outtake by Simon Pais-Thomas

A lot to discuss ... Please leave me detailed comments telling me exactly what you think! I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Edit:

I promised you a list of everyone's favorite designers ... here it is! Great choices, guys!

  7. I agree with the pieces from Chi Chi--looking at them is like mental onanism. I'm this close to ordering moreover because it really is reasonably priced--it is kind of hard to find something quirky, architectural, and worth your money.

Anyhow, I hope you don't mind as I added you to my blog roll. :) I hope to find more fashion tips!
