"Flipping" Over Trapeze Dresses!

"In difficult times, fashion is always outrageous." - Elsa Schiaparelli (Italian fashion designer; b. September 10, 1890-November 13, 1973)

Even though the latest style may be cute, it just may not do the right things for your body. I know that everyone has experienced this at one time or another, and my latest trend report just may be that saving grace you're looking for. Introducing the trapeze dress: a flowing, flattering piece that hides what you want it to, while still looking great. Hana Soukupova, Heidi Klum, Hilary Duff, Julie Benz, Kristin Chenoweth, and Paris Hilton are among the many celebrities sporting this new trend.

Get your credit cards ready, ladies! For a geometric look (also very in this season), try Betsey Johnson's Double Faced Twisted Chameuse Trapeze Dress. Priced at $350.00, this pink and black silk piece will have you "flipping". I love the bottom hem!

Try Maggy London's Sequin Lace Trapeze Dress for $178.00 at Nordstrom. After all of my searching, this is the trapeze dress that came up most ... hint, much? Its simple pattern and color make it a great wear for any occasion.

Special occasion? Take a look at Nicole Miller's One Shoulder Metallic Silk Chiffon Dress. Priced at $410.00 at Nordstrom, this pretty purple dress will be the talk of the party! The one sleeve look is very unique and flattering, as well.

What about a cute, cheap alternative? The Amanda Lane Pleated Trapeze Dress is perfect, priced at only $11.99 at Sears. What a bargain! The pattern is chic and colorful, and the bow on the sleeve embraces last post's trend: big bows.

I have only one thing to say about today's Pick-of-the-Day ... I want it. Now. Hopefully, you will too. I introduce to you Alexia Admor's Chestnut Halter Neck Dress, priced at $158.00 on edressme.com. The color is just gorgeous ... I'm speechless. Accessories aren't neccessary, either, for the large rose on the bodice is eye-pleasing enough. Alright, enough talk. See for yourself.

  1. I've been craving that see by chloe dress (with the stripes) ever since it came out last season. So gorgeous. Maybe I'll find one secondhand??
